The new year inspires us all to begin fresh and what better way to greet the year than by introducing our newest talent and the RefleKTion Safe + Sustainable Model Program.
What is the Model Program?
Our program consists of ambitious trainees, all licensed cosmetologists, that have already completed beauty school and commit to an additional year of training with our senior stylists and industry leaders to prefect their talent and craft. While enrolled in our in-house education program they are required to complete multiple models on services ranging from keratins, all haircuts, all color services, styling, extensions and up dos. Each associate attends bi-weekly classes specifically designed to educate them on all the skills necessary to produce the finest services in color, cut and styling. In these classes, they participate in demonstrations as well as hand on training by our senior stylists.
What is the difference between being a model and a client?
As a client you are being treated to the full-service capabilities by fully trained stylists who have earned the KTP stamp of approval. As a model you are being worked on by stylists in training. These stylists are licensed cosmetologists that are honing their skills to be KTP approved. As a model you should expect for the process to take longer and have multiple hands in your hair as a master stylist will oversee and check all progress and work that is being done. Associates take clients on their Opportunity days. The program is perfect for students or anyone who is understanding of the extending timing to enjoy to benefits of our program pricing.

Taylor
After trusting in Katie and RefleKTion as a client, once completed with her education, Taylor trusted in the salon to start her career in Cosmetology. She has been training and practicing her craft with us since 2019, sharing her specialties in blondes, extensions and bridal styles. Taylor loves helping her clients achieve their hair goals, “I take the time to consult with you to create the perfect color and shape to compliment your hair cut or add a sew-in weft to help achieve extra volume or add length using our Aqua and Bellami extension methods”, she says.

Karla
Karla is a burst of light and happy energy. She joined us in June of 2021 and has loved every second of it. In addition to color services Karla specializes in curly hair, “I love working with textured hair! From tousled waved to tight curls, I live for bringing out my client’s natural texture and making their hair pop”. Her skillset doesn’t stop there, Karla also loves haircutting, “I love to work with my clients to add small changes that make a big difference. My motto is: Change doesn’t have to be scary! Let’s add a fringe or some layers to bring movement to your look”.

Cassi
Let’s travel over to our Chicago location where you can find Cassi, who has been with refleKTion safe and sustainable salon for over two years. Cassi uses her talents to service an array of clients with varying eclectic personalities. She shares, “I enjoy doing all color services ranging from natural lived in balayage’s to fun vivid block colors and layered haircuts”.
Come and visit Cassi at our Chicago location, located in the East Lake View neighborhood where she takes clients Tuesdays 10am-3pm and Thursdays 9:30 am- 3pm.

Leah
Leah has been an asset to our Chicago location in so many ways while wearing many hats, “I’ve been with refleKTion for about two years, I was a front desk girl the whole time I was in cosmetology school and started assisting and taking clients as soon as I graduated!”. Her specialties are shared between cutting and coloring, “my favorite styles in terms of cutting are shags, mullets and pixies. I also love doing bold vivid colors and bright blondes”.

Jo
Jo has been practicing her art in cosmetology since she was licensed in 2016 and joined us four months ago where she continues to push herself and expand her skillset, “I am always eager to learn more to put under my belt”. Jo is a stylist of many talents, “My specialties are color, make-up and extensions. The extension methods I practice include Beaded Wefts, Tape-ins, Beaded I-Tip, Beaded Flat Tip and Heated K-Tips, I love it all!”.
Jo currently takes clients on her Friday opportunity days 9am-2pm
