Your At-Home Care Ritual
HAIR COLOR
Protect your Investment, Extend your Reflektion.
You’ve just invested in yourself — now it’s time to protect it.
How you care for your hair at home directly impacts how long your color and keratin last and greatly impacts overall hair health. These next few days set the intention for the health and longevity of your hair between visits.
The 72-Hour Rule
Pro Tip: Use a silk or satin pillowcase or bonnet — it reduces friction, prevents frizz, and keeps your cuticle smooth while you sleep.
We love this one from Amazon.
For the next three days, your hair is still settling into its new form. Do not wash your hair for 72 hours. It takes up to three days for the cuticle to fully close and seal in your color molecules or keratin.
Your First Wash is the Most Important
When the 72 hours are up, make your first wash intentional. This moment determines how your results last.
The Ritual
-
Hot water re-opens the cuticle, allowing color to slip away prematurely.
-
Otherwise be sure to use a professional, sulfate-free shampoo.
Avoid anything with harsh detergents or silicones and phthalates that create buildup.
-
The first cleanse removes oil, impurities, and product buildup.
The second cleanse is texture specific. Your unique hair needs moisture, volume or strength— focus your fingertips on the roots and hairline to stimulate circulation and balance oil production.
Let the shampoo rinse through your ends.
-
Apply conditioner or mask mid-shaft to ends only — these areas need the most moisture and repair.
Leave on for 3–5 minutes before rinsing thoroughly with cool water to seal in nutrients and shine.
Weekly Rituals for Hydration & Strength
Your hair thrives on consistency and care. Once a week, treat it to an intentional ritual based on its needs:
Hydrating Mask – for moisture and suppleness. Eufora Moisture Mask
Reparative Mask – for strength and elasticity. K-18 Molecular mask
Scalp Detox or Clarifying Treatment – remove impurities without stripping color. Eufora as Urgent Repair Shampoo and Amikas Charcoal Reset.
Ask your stylist which ritual best supports your unique hair journey.
Overnight Care
Use a silk or satin pillowcase to minimize friction and frizz.
Loosely braid or secure hair with a silk scrunchie before bed.
Avoid sleeping on damp hair — it weakens the cuticle and causes tangling
Even your sleep can protect your investment.
Heat & Styling
Style consciously and gently.
Always apply a heat protectant before blow-drying or curling.
Keep tools under 360 F to preserve color and integrity.
Embrace air-drying or low-heat styling whenever possible.
Shield your hair from UV rays, pool chlorine, and salt water — they fade pigment and dry out your strands.
Professional Products Only
Not all “sulfate-free” products are created equal. Many over-the-counter brands include hidden fillers or harsh substitutes that undo your stylist’s work.
Your stylist has hand-selected clean, professional formulas that are low-tox, high-performing, and Reflektion approved.

Maintain Your Results
Your stylist will guide you through a personalized maintenance ritual rhythm:
Haircuts-
4-6 weeks for short hair
8-10 weeks for medium hair
12-16 weeks for long hair
You need a trim at least every quarter. Especially if your intention is to grow your hair or keep your hair long and healthy. Split ends travel up the hair shaft breaking off higher than if you just nibbled it off- undoing any progress you have made.
Gloss / Tone Maintain: every 6–8 weeks
Root Touch-Up Maintain: every 4-6 weeks. Grey Blending: every 8-12 weeks
Keratin Smoothing: every 3–4 months
Lightening Ritual: every 12–16 weeks
